Finally.
I'm going to see Jen my trainer in about 3 weeks. Yikes. She said she has a diabolical plan ready for me. Gulp. I need to train my body to get back to some level of endurance as before, just to keep up with her. No lying down...
The last time I didn't work out for seven days, I had to lie down and put my legs up for blood to flow to my head. Jen stood right over me to make sure I was okay. I said, "Jen, can you also lie down with your feet up and not hover over me with such a concerned look? Then it'll look like this is part of our workout. We're in the middle of the gym and I can only imagine what people are thinking right now, looking at you looking at me.". Hahahaha.
The gym at CU is nothing fancy (equipment from the 80's) but it'll do. And most importantly, it's free. I'm also 100 steps from my place which means I can run home to shower. (The only problem is that I walk around with wet hair every afternoon...)
And I have a gym buddy! Moses. He used to work in 426 and he's friends with Tiffany and Lawrence. When I realized I really need to get back to the gym, I asked him if I could join him when he goes during lunch (we were at a bbq, eating fatty meats...hahaha). He has been really great about keeping me accountable. We stay for about an hour each day. Cardio and weights. And we do burpees together. Lol.
